Gareth Shaw, the Ward Manager contacted us to ask if we could source a Record Player for the Ward. They already had a supply of vinyl records but nothing on which to play them. The Friends were delighted to help and purchased a suitable unit which was presented to Gareth and his team on Thursday last week. It is hoped that the patients will be able to select records themselves and play them on familiar equipment – something that is difficult to do with modern digital devices. The record player was presented by Elaine Coulthard, President of the Friends and Tom Webster the group Treasurer.

The funds raised will go towards the purchase of much needed equipment for the benefit of patients at the hospital. We would also thank the HEFT fundraising team for their help and support.
